On Sundays, I clean off my ancestor altar, refresh the water, light a white candle, present my food/drink offerings, and burn trillion-dollar notes while speaking to my loved ones. It's my way of kicking off the week with them in gratitude. Holidays, birthdays, & anniversaries and "just because" are all perfect reasons to burn some ancestor money too!
The faith-based idea is that when we burn ancestor money we are energetically sending money energy to them in the spiritual realm where they exist. This ritual practice allows them to free up the debt that they have carried over from the physical world into the spiritual world and to make favorable moves for us from the spiritual world. Each note is cleansed, charged, and blessed before it reaches you.
Please note that the other ancestor money note denominations vary and sometimes the values aren't printed on the money. However, the value of this bundle will never be lower than an amount I would personally burn for my ancestors.
